BACKGROUND & IDEATION

With her dietetics degree from Emory University in hand, Kathryn Shubert was anxious to make her dream of becoming a nutrition consultant a reality, and she wanted to start off on the right foot. KMS Nutrition Consulting was to be the brand Kathryn would carry with her throughout her career, so it needed a vision that would not only differentiate her, but also clearly explain services provided by a nutrition consultant, which consumers often confuse with a dietician. She turned to id8 for help.

The id8 team started by gaining a clear understanding of Kathryn’s profession and her unique differentiators: With a degree, she has the medical background that allows her to advise clients in a knowledgeable, responsible way that will impact their lives—whether through diet, exercise, or both. She is also able to help clients with the selection of certified dieticians and other important decisions.

Through the ideation process, the team created a brand that strongly connects the company name with the concepts of healthy eating and living, represented by plants and a heart as well as using the light and approachable colors of yellow and green. The modern, fresh feel of the brand also represents Kathryn’s love of helping people who have difficulty functioning comfortably get back to a desirable lifestyle.

Kathryn now has a brand, business cards, and a website that she can use throughout her career, helping people through every step on the road to better health. She is happy and proud to direct potential clients to her new website, where they can learn about what she offers and her philosophy: By nourishing their bodies in a way that works best for them, people will be able to thrive.
